Our wedding took place at La Punta Norte in Summerland, BC.

Pre-Covid we wanted a destination wedding in Mexico, but because of the travel restrictions we decided to bring Mexico to the Okanagan. This was an intimate and casual wedding of 50 people. We were very untraditional with everything we did; from having the ceremony at 1:00pm to a 50-person Flip Cup game to a Beer Pong and Corn Hole Tournament to a Strobe Light Dance Party until 12:00am to using the driveway as our dance floor for our first dance and father + daughter dance.

Also, apart from the beautiful floral arrangements for our ceremony space, we had minimal décor for our cocktail hour and reception space. The beauty of the landscape was the look we were going for, all those outdoor aesthetics – sunshine and blue skies, hills, mountains, vineyards, Okanagan Lake, and the Mexican architecture of our venue too.

Our wedding was completely and undeniably ours. We wouldn’t change a thing about it because it was authentic to who we are as a couple – free-spirited, wild and a bit crazy.
